Jewelry appraisal services are the most formal types of consultations available.

- Inspecting for damage
- Weighing and measuring
- Verifying the gold content
- Identifying all gemstones in the item
- Evaluating the cut, clarity, and quality of any gemstones in the item
- Determining the value using the most appropriate market
- Taking detailed photographs
- Providing a detailed written document including the above information
- Insurance replacement coverage
- Buying or selling an item through private sale
- Legal reasons (ex: divorce, bankruptcy, estate distribution, tax matters)
- Jewelry appraisal services start at $150* for the first item. Discounts are available for multiple items.
- All services are done by appointment.
- Come to our office to have your items cleaned, examined and photographed OR
- Our Graduate Gemologist will come to your home or office to examine the items and take photographs.*
- The formal appraisal documents will be emailed or mailed by request.
- Payment is due at time of appointment. Cash (exact change only), checks made out to Carolina Jewelry Appraisers, credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, Cash App, Zelle, and AfterPay are all accepted.

Estate evaluation services are flexible and customized for each client's needs.

- Cataloging items of value for the estate
- Taking pictures of valuable items
- Providing a value range for items
- Own a lot of jewelry and want to have proof of ownership in case of loss
- Have inherited multiple items and need help to sort and evaluate it
- Are making future plans or a will and want to organize items before passing them down
- Estate evaluations start at $150* per hour. Contact us directly for estimates and more information.
